Why Pride? It is because lives depend on it. “Just one rainbow flag on a teacher’s desk or an example of a thriving, queer adult that I could look up to, could have changed the years of fear and absence of trust that consumed my life,” is how one gay man described his journey to come out. Imagine if those awful years were replaced by hundreds of examples of people living life to the fullest in a Pride parade or festival or especially by a community of faith that shows affirming love.
Is this a big step for you? You are welcome to stop by and experience the march and festival without signing up. Or come to the service or watch online as we heal, affirm, and learn together with other church neighbors.
Are you all in for spreading God’s affirming love and care? Sign up to join us at any or all of these events. March alongside our LOL community and other local churches. Volunteer in our booth at the Hamilton Festival. We need helpers at our tie-dye event as well as water donations.
