Quilting Ministry

1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall

A small, but dedicated, group of productive individuals have already completed 58 quilts for 2015 and will probably make another 40 – 60 quilts by the end of the year. The ministry is working on quilts for many outreach programs including Family Promise families that will be using our church in the next year. • Empty Bowls Fundraiser at Lord of Life

    Empty Bowl Snip 2 e1478198036463

    Paint a Bowl!
    This Sunday, February 25
    9 am - 1 pm
    Preschool Room C

Help fill an empty belly with an empty bowl. Empty Bowls is an international project that provides support for food banks, soup kitchens, and other organizations that fight hunger. A Thrivent Action Team project was used to purchase the materials for this project. Lord of Life has 100 unglazed bowls, and everyone is invited to come paint a bowl. You don't have to be an artist -- many glazes are designed to produce beautiful results just by painting on three coats. The Sunday School classes will be participating during their learning hour -- please dress your kids appropriately. The bowls will then be fired and brought back to Lord of Life to be sold during the Lenten dinner on March 7. The suggested donation is $10 each. Our goal is to raise $1000 for Shared Harvest and Reach Out Lakota.
