Thank you to everyone who made a commitment to Share the Light! Thank you for the many ways that your generosity and prayers have blessed this congregation. If you haven't had a chance to turn in your commitment card, you can bring it this Sunday, or turn it in to the office.
Please continue to pray. Pray for the ministry of Lord of Life and the work we have been called to do. Pray for the Share the Light campaign and the campaign leadership team. Continue to pray for how you can be a part of the growing needs of our church and community, as you ask, “Lord, what do you want to do through me?
If you need a Commitment Card, we will have them available on Sunday. You can also find one on our website, along with all of the Share the Light resources, at
Watch this slide show that gives a snapshot of all the great things our community does together. There are so many ministries we couldn't keep the video shorter than four minutes!
How would you tell your story on two sides of a piece of cardboard? How has God changed your life?

Between Worship Services
The Share the Light Capital Campaign is hosting a Prayer Event this Sunday between services in the Narthex area. The Prayer Team invites you into this spiritual journey that is grounded in gratitude, revealed in prayer, and lived in faith. Join us in grateful prayer for the expansion projects of this campaign and the church leadership teams. There will be prayer stations marked with the Share the Light logo in the Narthex and around the new multi-purpose space just outside the Narthex. Please take a few minutes to visit each station. Pray for our church, pray for the campaign, and pray that we will have the courage to follow where God is leading us in our families, our church, our West Chester community, and in the world!
Sunday, April 15
Join us as we kick-off the Share the Light capital campaign! This day will be filled with celebration as we eat and fellowship, learn about our upcoming moves forward, and pray as we step into where God is leading us. Please note that we will have only two worship services at 8 am and 11 am this Sunday, as well as no Sunday School, so that everyone can celebrate together as a family.
Please pray for the ministry of Lord of Life and the work we have been called to do. Pray for the Capital Campaign and the Campaign Leadership Team as we seek to bless others through worship and outreach. Please begin praying for how you can be a part of the growing needs of our church and community. Your prayer can be as simple as “Lord, what do you want to do through me?”
You can pick up a window cling in the Narthex to encourage your prayer time.
Share the Light.
You’ve seen our plans for our next steps and might be wondering, “What’s up with the chapel?” You are not alone. There have been many questions about that space. “Why do we need a chapel?” “What would we do with a chapel?” “Chapel... Huh?”
Happy New Year!
Lord of Life has asked Horizons Stewardship to conduct a Potential and Possibility Study in anticipation of a spring capital campaign. As you may know, over the last few years, our leadership has been prayerfully exploring priorities for renovating our existing worship and learning spaces, updating infrastructure, and paying down our debt as a way of positioning us for long-term ministry and mission. Because of your love and support of our church, the leadership team is requesting your counsel as we consider the potential of furthering our worship, hospitality, and outreach ministries.
The plan is to create a new chapel space and expand the current narthex, resolve drainage issues and upgrade lighting in the parking lot, install a fire protection system throughout the building, and eliminate our existing mortgage debt. The anticipated total cost for the chapel, narthex expansion, parking lot, fire protection, and retirement of our mortgage debt is $1.1-1.2 million dollars. Please see the colorful pages here for many more details.
We believe that “God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to God's power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).
